POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the execution of electrical construction projects with the opportunity to manage small projects. This role assists with project planning and implementation, processes purchase orders, change orders, invoices, and credits, and tracks RFIs and materials. The position also maintains organized project data and documentation to support management review and decision‑making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and design teams
- Support plan reviews, estimating, budgeting, contracts, meetings, and change orders
- Process and track purchase orders, material purchases, equipment rentals, invoices, billings, and credits
- Track RFIs, action items, labor reports, tool reports, and project documentation
- Coordinate material ordering, storage, delivery, and warehouse transmittals
- Maintain project files, drawings, logs, submittals, and closeout documentation using internal systems
- Assist with daily project operations and resource coordination as needed
- Build strong project relationships while supporting safety compliance and Turnover Meetings
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 3+ years managing commercial electrical work required
- Running at least $1 million projects required
- Programs experience preferred:
- Procore
- Computer Ease /Deltek
- Trimble Accubid
- Bluebeam
- Clearstory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment
- Ability to present in a professional manner and represent the company image
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Office work requires sitting for periods of time and use of a computer keyboard and screen. This role stands, walks and may move boxes of files and records weighing 30 pounds or less.
