Description
Lead Engineer is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all activities concerned with the general operation and maintenance work of the mechanical, electrical and craft services. Function as a working group leader in these areas.
 
Pay: $59.90/hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
  • Team Management (Multiple Properties)
  • Develop and assign work tickets for each team member, ensuring tasks are clearly scoped, prioritized, and completed on time.
  • Supporting and proving team while conducting special work assignments
  • Adhere to quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.
  • Assist in training personnel in proper operating procedures and techniques.
  • Enforce all applicable safety regulations including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, confined space entry, and hot work permits.
  • Conduct regular inspections across all assigned properties to verify work quality and identify maintenance deficiencies.
  • operate to support team efforts regarding maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Possess adequate license requirements for the facility.
  • Maintain life safety and security systems.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by building management.
  • Team management (which includes multiple locations) daily stand-up, create schedules, track PTO, training, call-offs, provide direction and/or prioritization of tasks.
  • Ticket system – monitoring tickets and providing metrics to client.
  • Sourcing – vendors, plumbing and misc. repair parts.
  • Vendors – on-site contact and scheduling of maintenance agreement services.
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Microsoft, Teams and Service Now (or other ticket system) 
  • Maintain all boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, appurtenances and lines used in the distribution of steam and heated or processed water.
  • Maintain water filters, softeners, piping and pumps used in conjunction with water distribution, including all sinks, toilet bowls, supply lines, drains and water lines.
  • Operate, maintain and repair all types of electrical motors and engines used to power pumps, compressors and fans.
  • Maintain lighting maintenance.
  • Work with vendor to maintain proper operation during seasonal changes and recalibrate controls based on seasonal conditions to ensure energy efficient operation.
  • Maintain all equipment as required per the Preventive Maintenance Program. Preventive Maintenance Program will be scheduled to meet the manufacturer’s required service specifications.


Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4+ years as a Lead/Chief Engineer
• Proven managerial experience
• Strong HVAC, mechanical, and electrical system knowledge
• Experience in healthcare / senior living environments preferred
