The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, seeks a Manager, Glorya Kaufman Theater (GKT) to set the creative vision and oversee goal setting, fiscal management, operations and communications for the GKT and rehearsal room at the Rita Moreno Arts Building of the Hollywood Arts Collective.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager shall serve as GKT’s primary leader, managing operations, setting goals and priorities, and securing partnerships, all toward a mission-based schedule that offers high-quality, affordable spaces to four primary audiences:
The Manager shall supervise theater staff, front of house, per diem workers and RMAB security vendor.
The Manager shall develop robust working relationships with on-site gallery partners LACE and LACHSA, TSA and RMAB property management and security, as well as any 2nd floor office renters, to ensure the effective integration of the performance and rehearsal spaces into the Hollywood Arts Collective’s overall mission.
The Manager shall create and monitor a comprehensive and evolving theater-specific plan for compliance with city, state, and federal health, safety and other relevant regulations.
The Manager shall work with Fund Advancement team to support any ongoing operational or capital funding needs of the spaces, as well as activity reporting to the Glorya Kaufman Trust and the broader community; and with the Fund’s Communications team to ensure robust messaging to the target audiences and partners.
The Manager shall work with the Executive Director to deliver ongoing outreach and growing awareness of the facility and its community benefits to the Hollywood community and broader entertainment leaders, City Council members and County Supervisor, as well as any relevant state and local officials, agencies and stakeholders.
The Manager shall develop and implement all policies and procedures related to booking the theater and rehearsal space.
The Manager shall oversee maintenance of the GKT, including oversight of all equipment and collaborating with property management to ensure a safe and well-maintained space.
The Manager shall represent The Entertainment Community Fund to community partners, including membership in relevant associations and presentations at community forums.
The Manager shall oversee all data management required.

This is a full-time salaried position based in the Entertainment Community Fund’s Western Region offices in Hollywood.
