We are currently seeking resumes from qualified, responsible, self-sufficient, energetic Senior Architectural Project Managers for our Irvine, California office. Job Description: 

This role will plan, direct, manage, and provide oversight of assigned projects to ensure that the company’s goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed schedule and budget parameters. They must effectively communicate with management, technical staff, support staff, and clients. They provide internal and external coordination and collaboration with clients, project partners, and stakeholders. This position will be based in our Irvine office; however, some travel internationally and domestically may be required.


Duties:

  • Responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the entire scope of the architectural project(s) on a day-to-day basis including the Schematic Design/Conception phase through to Design Development, Construction Drawings, Bidding/Contract Negotiation, Construction Administration, and Closeout phases. 
  • Assure a collaborative and integrated approach in working with other disciplines and with sub-consultants.
  • Interface with clients, and Federal, Local, and State government contacts for projects located in CA, the US, and internationally. 
  • Actively involved in the pursuit and marketing of new architectural projects/clients and leading the preparation of proposals (SOQ, Fees, SOW, Contracts, etc).
  • Attends and actively participates regularly in meetings with clients, stakeholders, project partners, and Company staff, and develops strong working relationships throughout the industry.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development
  • Demonstrate clear and concise, oral, and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, resources, and presentations


Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related field.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in an architecture practice and experience as a Project Manager.
    • Fifteen (15) years of experience in an architecture practice and ten (10) years of experience as a Project Manager is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of architectural design and project management experience based in public projects and transit projects.
  • Must have experience with High-Speed Rail in addition to other transit projects, developing functional programs and passenger flow analyses for stations. 
  • Familiarity with local/national/international building codes and other relevant standards related to transit facilities and accessibility.
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD/Revit, Rhino and the digital / parametric design process including BIM digital delivery
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and data management skills are essential.
  • Must be an excellent communicator with extensive experience to include technical writing, oral presentation, facilitation, and executive level synthesis
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage projects, develop work and provide excellent client service

Working Conditions and Environment:

This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally, uses the advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
