Compensation $38.00–$50.00 per hour (DOE, Certifications, Licenses & Industrial Experience)


Plus:

  • Overtime Available Weekly 
  • Daily Per Diem for Eligible Overnight Travel 
  • Company-Paid Hotels, Airfare & Travel Expenses 
  • Company AMEX for Approved Business Expenses 
  • Annual Earning Potential: $100,000–$150,000+ 

Higher compensation may be available for candidates with advanced electrical licensing, industrial certifications, PLC and controls experience, conveyor systems expertise, leadership experience, or extensive industrial maintenance backgrounds.


About the Opportunity


Force Building Services is seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to support conveyor systems, warehouse automation equipment, industrial electrical infrastructure, and material handling systems throughout Northern California.

This position primarily services customers throughout:

  • Sacramento 
  • Tracy 
  • Pleasanton 
  • Stockton 
  • Modesto 
  • Bay Area 
  • Surrounding Northern California 

Occasional overnight and out-of-state travel assignments may be required based on customer and project needs.

What You'll Work On

You'll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and upgrades involving:

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) 
  • PLC I/O Components 
  • Sensors 
  • Motor Controls 
  • Distribution Centers 
  • Fulfillment Centers 
  • Preventative Maintenance 
  • Emergency Service Calls 
  • Shutdown Projects 
  • Facility Upgrades 
  • Electrical Diagnostics 
  • Mechanical/Electrical Repairs 

Primary Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will:

  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Diagnose and repair conveyors, motors, VFDs, controls, sensors, and automation systems. 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. 
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. 
  • Support electrical installations, shutdowns, equipment replacements, and facility upgrades. 
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, photographs, notes, and work reports. 
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and fellow technicians. 
  • Follow OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and all company safety policies. 
  • Represent Force Building Services with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service. 

Schedule

Typical schedules range from 40–60+ hours per week, depending on project workload.

Projects may require:

  • Overtime 
  • Evening or night shifts 
  • Weekend work 
  • Overnight travel 
  • Emergency service response

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to work independently and remain organized in the field
  • Ability to work overtime, night work, and occasional travel assignments
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial Electrical Troubleshooting Experience
  • Conveyor Systems & Automation Equipment Experience
  • Distribution Centers or Amazon Facility Experience
  • Controls Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • California Electrical Certification
  • Experience Working from Lifts & Elevated Platforms
Salary Description
$35-$45 per hour
