OVERVIEW:
The Senior Manager, Global Physician Engagement and Education is responsible for executing and scaling RxSight’s global professional engagement strategy in close partnership with the VP of Professional Education, SVP of Sales, and VP of Marketing.
This role translates strategic direction into structured programs, processes, and day-to-day execution across Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, consultant management, meetings, and professional education initiatives supporting the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) platform.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring consistency, operational excellence, and scalability of professional relations efforts focusing on peer-to-peer engagements (online and offline/in-person) – supporting the growth of a strong, engaged global community of surgeons and eye care professionals.
This role is ideal for a highly organized operator who thrives on building structure, driving execution, maintaining customer relationships, and scaling professional engagement programs globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operationalize the global professional relations strategy defined by the VP of Professional Education, ensuring consistent execution across all initiatives.
- Manage and maintain global KOL engagement infrastructure, including databases, segmentation, engagement tracking, and ongoing communication with key physicians and professional partners.
- Coordinate and execute consultant engagement programs, including speaker programs, peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, podium participation, and abstracts, ensuring proper selection, utilization, and tracking of outcomes.
- Support planning and execution of major congresses, regional meetings, including speaker coordination, program logistics, professional events, and alignment with overall messaging and narrative.
- Lead execution of User Groups, Adjustability webinars, recorded media, and RxSight Ed programs, ensuring high-quality, case-based, peer-to-peer educational experiences that can scale globally.
- Create content for KOL messaging, including PowerPoint slides and other formats.
- Support the operational management of KOL groups, including member coordination, meeting execution, content preparation, and tracking engagement and feedback.
- Serve as a central liaison across Commercial, Marketing, Clinical, and Professional Education teams to ensure alignment on timelines, messaging, and execution.
- Build, implement, and continuously refine scalable processes for KOL engagement, consultant management, and professional programming.
- Track program performance, engagement metrics, and ROI across professional relations activities, providing visibility and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and onboard emerging KOLs and future contributors to strengthen the professional community and ensure long-term sustainability.
- Ensure all professional engagement activities are compliant, well-documented, and aligned with internal policies and standards.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Deep experience working with ophthalmic surgeons and professional communities.
- Strong understanding of premium cataract and refractive markets.
- Demonstrated experience building professional engagement programs and peer-to-peer communities.
- Comfortable owning details while managing multiple complex workstream.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance strategic guidance with practical execution realities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role does not initially include direct reports but is expected to influence cross-functional teams and may support future team expansion
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in ophthalmology, medtech, or related professional engagement roles.
- Experience supporting global professional education and KOL development preferred.
