Are you an experienced Line Mechanic or Electrician looking for a role that values your expertise—without the after-hours callouts and long days on the tools? If you’re ready for a new challenge, this could be the perfect next step.
We’re looking for a Technical Coordinator | Kaiwhakarite Rangahau to be the vital link between our field crews and the office. In this role, you’ll use your practical industry knowledge to coordinate materials, contractors, schedules, and resources—ensuring our work is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
From emergent jobs to planned projects, you’ll be at the centre of keeping things moving. You’ll support and lead small project teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and apply sound project planning to deliver real results for our network and communities. You’ll also be part of our event coordination standby roster—because no two days look the same in this dynamic role.
Skills And Experiences
Nā tāu rourou | What you’ll bring
- A Level 4 electrical qualification (Line Mechanic Distribution preferred)
- At least 6 years’ experience in the electricity industry, with strong hands-on field experience
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to line up the right people, parts, and processes
- Experience leading teams or delivering small projects
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors, crews, and internal teams
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Solid understanding of industry standards and health & safety best practice
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)—you don’t need to be an expert, just comfortable learning and using digital tools

- 80 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday (8 hours between 7.00am and 5.00pm)—no more chasing overtime
- Competitive salary: $105,000–$115,000 (depending on skills and experience)
